Writer/Producer/Director Jerry Williams has posted industry news, movie reviews and other information to his Tales From The Grips website since “before blogs were called blogs.” For the site’s 10-year anniversary, he approached me for a complete redesign.
Incorporating his existing branding, we rebuilt the site from the ground up. While the new site incorporates design conventions common to today’s most successful blogs, there are lots of personal touches to keep Jerry’s personality shining through.
The new site is built on the Expression Engine content management system, streamlining his formerly manual site updates. We also added several new features, such as RSS feeds, an email newsletter, and a mobile version of the site for readers on the go.
My website (best known as “Tales from the Grips”) has been broadcasting since 1997 and I wanted a new look for the 10th anniversary. Sharif worked diligently to create a look that was unique, clean and modern. I had lots of special requests and tweaks. Sharif was cooperative and quick to respond to all of them. The new programming flow was different that the old HTML I’d been used to, but it ultimately is more efficient. I would recommend 28 Media to people who are new to the web or to more sophisticated users.
