Refresh Richmond Taking Shape
May 29, 2006
Less than a month since launching the website, we’ll be holding the first meeting of Refresh Richmond at C3 this Wednesday evening. Response to the group has been phenomenal; in the three weeks since launching the website, nearly 100 Richmond web designers have signed up for the mailing list!
I organized the group following the same simple premise as other Refresh groups that have sprung up around the country — to bring Richmond’s web professionals together to meet, talk, and share what they know. With any luck we’ll have a little fun while doing it, and strengthen Richmond’s web community in the process.
In our first meeting, Phil Hertzler of Top Dead Center Design will discuss his work on the AIGA Richmond website, winner of the recent Expression Engine Shootout, and will talk about how he uses Expression Engine to better serve his clients.
And in June, Big Oak will give an overview of Search Engine Optimization techniques. Details on this meeting are still being worked out, so visit Refresh Richmond and sign up for the newsletter to get the details as they become available.
