Refresh Richmond Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

June 12, 2007

A quick, and belated, announcement… the May meeting of Refresh Richmond marked the one-year anniversary of the group!

A special thanks goes out to all who have made this group possible: those who have helped spread the word, those who have volunteered time and meeting space, and most importantly, the members who have made the group possible.  Together, we’ve been able to bring area web professionals together in an environment of learning and collaboration, and hopefully strengthened Richmond’s web community in the process. And, with some exciting future plans in the works, we hope to continue this growth on a larger scale.

So, what is Refresh Richmond? Following the lead of other Refresh groups around the country, Refresh Richmond is a group I organized in May of 2006. It is “a community of designers, developers and other web professionals working to improve the creative, technical and professional aspects of new media endeavors in the Greater Richmond area.” And, what does that mean exactly? Well, once a month, we get together to discuss a topic of interest, listen to a guest speaker, or just talk shop and have some fun.
